Impact of One-Catheter Strategy on Coronary Catheterization Performance and Costs
1,953 coronary diagnostic procedures from January 2013 to June 2017 compare a one-catheter strategy using a TIG I catheter against a traditional two-catheter approach. The dataset, sourced from a clinical study by Joan Costa-Mateu, records primary and secondary endpoints including contrast volume, radial spasm, fluoroscopy time, radiation exposure, and direct economic costs. Results indicate the one-catheter strategy used less contrast, had lower spasm rates, shorter procedure times, and saved costs per procedure.
