Side Scan Sonar, Synthetic Aperture Sonar, and multibeam sonar backscatter data collected at 5-meter resolution during Phase 2 marine surveys for missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. Surveys were conducted by the Governments of Australia, Malaysia, and China between September 2014 and January 2017 using Kongsberg and Edgetech systems deployed from vessels including Fugro Supporter and Go Phoenix. Geoscience Australia provided expertise and support to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau-led search operations.
The Torres Strait and Gulf of Papua region is modeled using the MECO hydrodynamic model at a 0.051-degree resolution. The model was validated against observed current meter data and tidal sea levels. Sediment dispersal pathways from the Fly River and a northern Great Barrier Reef resuspension event were investigated, with sediment input into Torres Strait found to be approximately 10% greater during the Trade season.
A constitutive model for soft materials integrates a nonaffine hyperelastic strain energy function with a nonlinear viscoelastic formulation. The model is validated against experimental data across a diverse range of soft matter, including vulcanized rubbers, hydrogels, silicone, block copolymer, and biological tissue. The dataset, authored by Nurul Hassan Shah and last updated in May 2026, is available under a CC-BY-NC-4.0 license.
May 28 to June 8, 2018, the RV Investigator collected multibeam echosounder data in Bass Strait and near Wilson's Promontory. The dataset includes 372 files (119 GB) of raw bathymetry and backscatter data and 241 files (269 GB) of raw watercolumn backscatter data, processed with motion, position, and tide corrections. Data is managed by the Australian Ocean Data Network and stored at CSIRO.
Australia's maritime jurisdiction, including waters adjacent to the mainland, offshore islands, and External Territories, is represented in this GIS data product. Geoscience Australia developed this digital representation of territorial sea baselines and outer limits under the Seas and Submerged Lands Act 1973, with currency in December 2020. The data includes limits for State and Territory waters under the Coastal Waters Acts and the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006.
Annual summary statistics on Canadian railway freight and passenger transportation, published by Statistics Canada. The data includes metrics such as revenue freight by tonnes and tonne-kilometres, passenger counts and passenger-kilometres, and operational averages like cars per train and train speed. The dataset was last updated on 2026-04-28.
Geoscience Australia delineates Australia's domestic and international maritime limits and boundaries. This GIS data product provides a digital representation of territorial sea baselines, outer limits of maritime zones, and boundaries established under the Seas and Submerged Lands Act 1973 and related legislation. The dataset covers Australia's marine jurisdiction, including waters adjacent to the mainland, offshore islands, and External Territories.
Geoscience Australia developed this digital representation of Australia's maritime limits and boundaries under the Seas and Submerged Lands Act 1973. The data includes territorial straight baselines, outer limits of maritime zones, and treaty boundaries with neighboring countries, updated to reflect the 2018 Timor Sea Treaty. Coverage spans the Australian marine jurisdiction from approximately 7°S to 70°S latitude and 40°E to 175°E longitude.
A qualitative study from figshare explores user-centered requirements for smart rollators. The dataset contains results from five focus groups with 30 participants, including 15 rollator users and 15 healthcare professionals, conducted as part of a design-based research project. The data was authored by Patrick Schwaiger and last updated on April 20, 2026.
Geoscience Australia delineates Australia's domestic and international maritime limits and boundaries. This 2014 geodatabase provides a digital representation of territorial sea baselines, outer limits of maritime zones, and state/Territory offshore area limits under Australian legislation. The coverage spans waters adjacent to the mainland, offshore islands, and External Territories, approximately between latitudes 7°S to 70°S and longitudes 40°E to 175°E.
A network of strategic road segments in Montreal equipped with Bluetooth sensors for traffic data collection. The dataset, provided by the Government and Municipalities of Québec, lists the segments used to generate historical travel times. It was last updated on April 22, 2026.
Public safety incidents occurring on the territory of the City of Sherbrooke over the past three years. The dataset includes incident type, description, and date, with location data reported to the nearest road intersection. It is provided by the Government and Municipalities of Québec under a CC-BY-4.0 license and was last updated on April 22, -2026.
The City of Montreal's Road Network Infrastructure Service (SIRR) has recorded mechanized pothole sealing work since December 2016. This dataset includes georeferenced locations and timestamps for repairs conducted by the central service, excluding borough-level activities. The data is published by the Government and Municipalities of Québec under a CC-BY-4.0 license and was last updated in April 2026.
