Description
A 2007 marine survey around the British Isles, predominantly the South and East coasts, conducted by the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas). The survey collected station, catch, length, and biological data for Sole and Plaice to evaluate recruitment and small fish abundance. Operations were completed on 79 stations between August 26 and September 2, 2007, catching 44 different species.
Use Cases
Modeling recruitment patterns of Sole and Plaice based on the biological data collected.
Analyzing species abundance and diversity based on the catch data from 79 stations.
Studying small fish distribution in coastal waters based on the length data for all species.
Comparing historical fish stock data based on the survey's temporal context within a long-term series (1981-2010).
Strengths
Data collection is part of a long-term international survey series spanning from 1981 to 2010.
Survey operations were conducted on a specific 79 stations, providing structured spatial coverage.
Catches included 44 different species, indicating biodiversity data.
