19 burials from a 9th-10th century ground cemetery were discovered beneath the site of the Western Palace of Prince Volodymyr in Kyiv. The report details excavations from 2008 to 2013 by the Starokyivska expedition of the Institute of Archaeology NAS of Ukraine, uncovering structures from the 10th to 17th centuries. It documents the palace's dimensions of 52.80 by 22.60 meters and evidence of its destruction during the Mongol-Tatar invasion of 1240.
