Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) data collected by the Environment Agency's remote sensing team provides highly detailed terrain models for Scotland. Up to 100,000 ground measurements per second allow for spatial resolutions ranging from 25 centimeters to 2 meters. This dataset is derived from a merged and re-sampled combination of surveys, available as Digital Surface Models (including objects) or Digital Terrain Models (ground only).
This metadata record is for an archived product (AfA458). The data is no longer available on the Defra Data Services Platform and must be accessed via the Scottish Remote Sensing Portal.
