FISH Diffusion and Hybridization Model for Bacterial and Animal Cells

Joana Lima from Universidade do Porto developed a mechanistic model for Fluorescent in Situ Hybridization (FISH) processes. The model estimates characteristic diffusion and reaction times for nucleic acid probes across cellular barriers in bacterial and animal cells. It is intended to serve as a basis for optimizing FISH protocols.
