A four-stage evolution model of the Klondike's White Channel gravel clarifies gold placer formation and depositional history. Pollen evidence from a lacustrine layer indicates the Klondike district was at least 7°C warmer during the Pliocene compared to the present. The dataset originates from a Government of Yukon sedimentological study, last updated in April 2026.
Data is available in HTML and PDF formats, which may require extraction for tabular analysis.
