Experimental data examines the effect of sediment contamination on the recruitment of soft-sediment marine fauna near Casey Station, East Antarctica. The Australian Antarctic Data Centre collected 116 total samples from a field experiment conducted between March 1998 and February 1999. Four locations were tested, including polluted bays near a waste tip and sewage outfall, and control sites.
Site codes require a separate code sheet for full interpretation of location and treatment details. Sediment chemistry data (metal concentrations) are provided as means and standard errors averaged over trays, not raw measurements.
