Description
A 100-meter resolution bathymetric grid of the Cape Darnley region in East Antarctica, compiled from single-beam, multibeam, and chart data. The compilation was published in Antarctic Science in 2021 and improves previous representations of the seafloor. It covers the Mac.Robertson Land shelf, slope, and adjacent deep sea.
Use Cases
Numerical modelling of ocean circulation based on detailed seafloor topography.
Reconstruction of palaeo-ice streams using high-resolution bathymetric data.
Refinement of ice-sheet models with improved regional bathymetry.
Visualization of seafloor morphology for geological and biological habitat studies.
