A 2013-2015 regional assessment of geological CO2 storage potential in Australia's Browse Basin, undertaken by Geoscience Australia as part of the National CO2 Infrastructure Plan. The study used an integrated approach, analyzing data from over 60 wells, 2D/3D seismic surveys, and potential field data to assess storage plays in the Cretaceous succession. Results indicate the Lower Cretaceous basin margin and Upper Cretaceous confined submarine fan plays are more prospective for CO2 storage.
