A proposed tidal adjustment technique for tsunami hazard assessments in regions with spatially inhomogeneous tidal planes, such as northern Australia where Highest Astronomical Tide varies from 1.4 m to over 5.4 m. The method is demonstrated using the Gladstone region as a case study, comparing scenarios at different HAT levels and performing 'mini' probabilistic assessments at three sites. The research was presented at the 2025 Australasian Coasts & Ports Conference.
