Description
ACTGOV BLOCK provides the position and extents of land parcels, the smallest units of land that can be held under an individual lease in the Australian Capital Territory. The dataset includes lifecycle stages for blocks, such as Proposed, Registered, Approved, Occupied, and Retired, and distinguishes between urban and rural parcels. It is maintained by the ACT Government Geospatial Data Catalogue (ACTmapi) and was last updated on March 25, 2026.
Use Cases

Track the legal status of rural land parcels based on their lifecycle stage.
Analyze land subdivision patterns based on the distinction between registered and unregistered blocks.
Support land lease administration based on the occupancy status of parcels.
Strengths
Dataset includes a detailed lifecycle model with five distinct stages (Proposed, Registered, Approved, Occupied, Retired).
Data is provided in multiple geospatial formats (GDB, GPKG, GEOJSON, KML) for interoperability.
Last updated date is explicitly provided (2026-03-25).
