13 sources from a search of 575 were included in this scoping review on cultural competence in audiology for Deaf adult sign language users. The review, authored by Celia Hulme and last updated in May 2026, identifies four themes, including a gap between intent and practice in sign language use and systemic barriers to inclusive care. It concludes there is a critical need for whole-service research to inform more inclusive audiology practice.
