Yukon Territory aeromagnetic survey data collected by Fugro Airborne Surveys from March 7 to May 1, 2003. The survey used a Cessna Caravan aircraft with a 0.005 nT sensitivity magnetometer, flown at a nominal terrain clearance of 200 m. The levelled total field values were interpolated to a 200 m grid, and the International Geomagnetic Reference Field has not been removed.
Use Cases
- Map subsurface geological structures based on magnetic anomalies.
- Support mineral exploration targeting based on magnetic field variations.
- Integrate magnetic data with other geophysical datasets for regional analysis.
- Study the Earth's magnetic field in a specific region without IGRF correction.
Strengths
- Survey conducted with a 0.005 nT sensitivity magnetometer.
- Data gridded to a 200 m resolution.
- Flight path recovered using differential GPS and video camera.
- Survey operations spanned from March 7 to May 1, 2003.
Limitations
- Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
- Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
- The International Geomagnetic Reference Field has not been removed from the magnetic total field.
