Description
GLIDE (GLobal unique IDEntifiers for Disasters) numbers provide a common code for disaster events to improve information interoperability. The Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC) proposed the standard, which is actively used by UN-OCHA, UNDRR, IFRC, and other major humanitarian organizations. This dataset contains GLIDE records for disaster events in Albania.
Use Cases
Link disaster impact reports from different organizations based on the shared GLIDE number.
Analyze disaster frequency and types in Albania based on registered event records.
Build a unified disaster information system using the GLIDE number as a primary key.
Strengths
Data is interoperable across many major disaster information sources, including UN agencies and the European Commission.
The dataset is available in both GEOJSON and CSV formats, offering flexibility for different analysis workflows.
