Description
Ammonia (NH3) measurements were collected from July to December 2018 at three sites on the Fenn's, Whixall, Bettisfield, Wem and Cadney Mosses SSSI. The data was gathered using ALPHA passive samplers to monitor ammonia during the implementation of a Site Nitrogen Action Plan for the Marches Mosses BogLIFE restoration project.
Use Cases
Analyze ammonia concentration trends from July to December 2018 across the three monitoring sites.
Model spatial variation of NH3 levels between the Wrexham County Borough and Shropshire sites.
Assess the impact of the Site Nitrogen Action Plan (SNAP) on ammonia levels during the BogLIFE project period.
Correlate ammonia measurements with environmental conditions specific to the lowland raised bog ecosystem.
Strengths
Data covers a defined 6-month monitoring period from July to December 2018.
Measurements are from three specific sites within a designated SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).
Uses standardized ALPHA (Adapted Low-cost Passive High Absorption) sampler methodology.
Limitations
Sample size and temporal resolution are unknown without access to the raw data files.
Geographic scope is limited to three sites within a single wetland complex.
Data is from 2018 and may not reflect current conditions.
Provenance
