Description
Ovine Amniotic Epithelial Cells (AECs) were profiled using label-free proteomics under basal and LPS-induced inflammatory conditions. The dataset, authored by Giuseppe Prencipe and last updated in June 2026, includes protein enrichment data for 169 immunometabolism and stress signaling proteins within microvesicles. It specifically highlights the role of Amphiregulin (AREG) in mitochondrial vesicle packaging and immune cell delivery.
Use Cases
Identify LPS-responsive protein effectors within AEC-derived microvesicles based on the 169 enriched proteins.
Investigate the role of Amphiregulin in mitochondrial transfer to immune cells based on the genetic silencing experiments described.
Analyze the immunosuppressive capacity of AEC-derived vesicles on T-cell proliferation and NFAT activation based on the functional assays mentioned.
Study vesicular signaling pathways for cell-free immunotherapeutic strategies based on the described AREG-mediated mechanism.
Strengths
Includes proteomic profiling data for 169 specifically enriched proteins involved in immunometabolism.
Data is derived from controlled experimental conditions comparing basal and LPS-induced inflammatory states.
The dataset is licensed under CC-BY-4.0, allowing for open sharing and reuse.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment for large-scale analyses.
The dataset is small at 1.2 MB, indicating a limited scope of data points.
