80 dental impressions from volunteers were used to evaluate the antimicrobial effectiveness of 0.2% peracetic acid and 1% sodium hypochlorite using nebulization and spray techniques. The study, authored by Carmem Dolores Vilarinho Soares de Moura, found a statistically significant reduction in bacterial colonies compared to controls. Results indicated nebulization with 0.2% peracetic acid was more effective than 1% sodium hypochlorite.
