Geoscience Australia's Onshore Energy Security Program investigated evidence for sandstone-hosted uranium systems in the Eromanga Basin, covering approximately 1,000,000 km² of central-eastern Australia. The assessment used a five-question framework involving literature review, 3D mapping, water chemistry compilation, and geochemical analysis. The study identified potential mineralising events and favourable geological architectures for uranium deposition.
