Description
Argentina risk assessment indicators at the administrative level 2 (district) scale, produced by HeiGIT and updated in 2026. The data integrates demographic, infrastructure, and flood exposure metrics from WorldPop, OpenStreetMap, and Google Earth Engine. It includes seven thematic layers covering accessibility, facilities, and population vulnerability.
Use Cases
Flood disaster response planning using access_pop_hospitals_30min to identify at-risk zones
Public health resource allocation based on primary_healthcare_count
Vulnerability mapping using children_u5 and elderly population segments
Strengths
Admin level 2 granularity for all indicators
Integration of WorldPop and OpenStreetMap data
Travel-time based accessibility metrics (30/60/120 min)
Limitations
Potential data gaps in rural areas due to OpenStreetMap crowdsourcing
Temporal staleness of underlying census data used by WorldPop
Provenance
Source
HeiGIT (Heidelberg Institute for Geoinformation Technology)
