Armenia: Subnational Dekadal Rainfall Indicators and Anomalies

Armenia dekadal rainfall indicators aggregated by subnational administrative units, sourced from CHIRPS v2 satellite imagery and CHIRPS-GEFS forecasts. Maintained by the World Food Programme, the data tracks 10-day, 1-month, and 3-month precipitation totals, long-term averages, and percentage anomalies. Observations are updated multiple times per month to transition from forecasts to final validated products.

• Assessing drought severity by monitoring the rfq (rainfall anomaly %) column across administrative units
• Agricultural planning using r3h (3-month rolling aggregation) to track seasonal water accumulation
• Short-term weather risk assessment by filtering the type column for CHIRPS-GEFS forecasts
