Arrest records processed by the Chicago Police Department's CLEAR Automated Arrest System. The data is limited to adult arrests where the arrestee was 18 or older and excludes records expunged under Illinois law. Each record includes up to four charges ordered by severity, with associated statutes, descriptions, types, and classes.
A more detailed version of the dataset is available to media by request. Individual arrest reports must be requested via CPD or FOIA.
