João Alberto Martins Rodrigues analyzed the association between walking speed and social participation in hospitalized elderly individuals (≥60 years) in a public hospital in southern Brazil. The study found a prevalence of pre-frailty of 50.1%, frailty of 39.8%, and reduced gait speed of 45%, with significant associations between reduced gait speed and lower social participation. The dataset includes analysis files in PDF and XLSX formats totaling 10.6 MB.
