AFER Project: Regional Geology of Pedirka and Western Eromanga Basins

Australia’s Future Energy Resources (AFER) project reinterpreted the geology of the Pedirka and western Eromanga basins using new biostratigraphic and seismic data. The analysis covers sedimentary records from the early Paleozoic to the Late Cretaceous, detailing fluvial-lacustrine and shallow marine environments. This work was conducted by the Australian Ocean Data Network as part of the Exploring For The Future program, with a last update recorded in April 2026.
