Australian Seafloor Video and Imagery from Marine Surveys, 2007 Onwards

21 marine surveys between 2007 and 2013 collected the first images of deep offshore seafloor environments around Australia. Geoscience Australia gathered this data using a towed video system lowered to 1-2 metres above the seabed, covering distances of up to 1-2 km per tow. The hours of footage provide direct observations of geological features, habitats, and marine life.
