Description
Nine Yili horses underwent incremental treadmill exercise testing, with blood samples collected at five speed stages (0, 3, 5, 7, and 9 m/s). The dataset contains plasma metabolomic profiles from LC-MS analysis and twenty echocardiographic structural indices, identifying 314 shared differentially expressed metabolites. The data was authored by Xiaokang Chang and last updated on 2026-04-23.
Use Cases
Correlating plasma metabolite levels with cardiac structural indices based on the 314 identified differentially expressed metabolites.
Modeling metabolic pathway activity during exercise based on mapped pathways like ABC transporter and thermogenesis.
Investigating the role of amino acid metabolites in collagen matrix turnover and redox homeostasis as described.
Analyzing the relationship between fatty acyls and contractile activity via fatty acid oxidation pathways.
Strengths
Integrated dataset pairing metabolomic profiles from LC-MS with twenty echocardiographic structural indices.
Identifies a core set of 314 shared differentially expressed metabolites (124 upregulated, 190 downregulated).
Data covers five distinct physiological states (rest and four exercise intensities) for each of the nine subjects.
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Dataset is small (653.1 KB), indicating a limited scope of observations.
