173 metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer patients were prospectively studied to evaluate the impact of baseline Quality of Life on Overall Survival. The study assessed patient-reported QoL using EORTC QLQ-C30 and QLQ-BM22 questionnaires, compiling 2264 questionnaires over the treatment and follow-up period. Researchers from Sapienza University of Rome performed multivariate analysis and joint models to identify baseline QoL as a significant independent predictor of survival.
