72% overall accuracy was reported for species occupying 80% of the forested areas. The dataset maps dominant tree species and class membership likelihoods for British Columbia in 2015, derived from Landsat time series and ancillary data using a Random Forests classifier. It was developed by Natural Resources Canada within the National Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring System framework.
Data is provided under the OGL-CA-2.0 license. File formats include WMS, PDF, HTML, and ZIP, which may require specific GIS software for full utilization.
