Description
Cheng Zhang's dataset contains retrospective clinical data and multiomics analyses from a study comparing short-peptide-based versus intact-protein-based enteral nutrition for severe acute pancreatitis. The data includes results from a murine SAP model and multiomics analyses (microbiome, metabolome, transcriptome, single-cell RNA sequencing). The dataset was last updated on 2026-05-25.
Use Cases
Compare clinical outcomes (hospital stay, infection) between SPEN and IPEN based on retrospective patient data.
Analyze changes in intestinal barrier damage and bacterial translocation based on murine model data.
Investigate gut luminal microenvironmental homeostasis and flagellated bacteria proliferation using multiomics data.
Study the role of TLR5 on lamina propria dendritic cells in bacterial translocation using transcriptomic and single-cell data.
Strengths
Includes multiomics analyses (microbiome, metabolome, transcriptome, single-cell RNA sequencing).
Provides specific clinical outcome metrics (OR = 0.186 for hospital stay, OR = 0.281 for infection).
Combines retrospective clinical patient data with experimental murine model data.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data may reflect temporal or methodological bias inherent to the specific retrospective study.
