Geoscience Australia survey 266 provides preliminary results on seabed processes near Turnagain Island, a site of recent widespread seagrass dieback. The 2004 survey aimed to link seabed geomorphology and sedimentary processes to seagrass distribution and survival. This work was part of a larger Reef CRC program assessing threats to dugong, turtle populations, and indigenous islander communities.
