United States data standard documents spatial locations and inventory activities for the Northern Spotted Owl, an endangered species. The dataset, managed by the Department of the Interior, replaces a former database and is updated annually after each field season. Bureau of Land Management wildlife biologists and GIS specialists enter and query data collected by district staff or contractors.
Data is available in many formats (KML, CSV, GDB, GeoJSON, etc.); users must select the appropriate one for their GIS or analytical tool. License is U.S. Public Domain (us-pd).
