Boreal forest sites in Canada were used to measure soil emissions of nitric oxide (NO) and nitrous oxide (N2O). Data were collected to characterize fluxes from black spruce and jack pine areas, examining diurnal and monthly variation as well as the impact of wetting. Measurements were taken during field campaigns in mid-August 1993, June to August 1994, and mid-July 1995.
