Description
Multi-institutional, multi-parametric MRI scans of pediatric brain tumor patients, curated for the BraTS PED 2024 challenge. The dataset includes T1-weighted, T1-weighted post-contrast, T2-weighted, and T2-FLAIR modalities along with expert-annotated segmentation masks. It was uploaded by chehablab to Hugging Face and last updated on April 16, 2026.
Use Cases
Training tumor segmentation models based on the four provided MRI modalities (T1, T1c, T2w, T2-FLAIR).
Benchmarking segmentation algorithms against expert-annotated voxel-wise masks.
Studying multi-parametric MRI characteristics of pediatric brain tumors.
Strengths
Includes four core MRI modalities (T1, T1c, T2w, T2-FLAIR) per subject for multi-parametric analysis.
Provides expert-annotated segmentation masks for supervised learning tasks.
Derived from a multi-institutional source, which may increase data diversity.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count and dataset size are unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
