Two Google Street View cars equipped with research-grade instruments measured air pollution approximately every 1-10 seconds over 600 eight-hour shifts. The project, led by the Greater London Authority, collected data on black carbon, CO₂, NO, NO₂, O3, and PM2.5 across London roadways from autumn 2018 to autumn 2019. The National Physical Laboratory conducted regular instrument performance checks and periodic calibrations.
