A seismic reflection survey conducted by the Bureau of Mineral Resources near Broome, Western Australia, during 1954 and 1955. The work indicated a sedimentary thickness of at least 6000 feet, and probably as much as 10,000 feet, and showed that subsurface formations are likely folded and faulted. It was part of a general investigation of the Canning Basin aimed at determining sediment distribution south of the Fenton Fault.
