BRUVS Deployments for Oceanic Shoals Bioregion Biodiversity, 2014

Stereo Baited Remote Underwater Video Stations (BRUVS) deployments were conducted across shallow seabed environments in the proposed Oceanic Shoals Commonwealth Marine Reserve in the Timor Sea. The survey, undertaken by the Australian Institute of Marine Science between May 8 and 16, 2014, included 76 deployments across the Margaret Harries Shoals. It aimed to address strategic knowledge gaps in shelf habitats, focusing on potential biodiversity hotspots like pinnacles, banks, and shoals.
