Building permits processed by Marin County government include residential and commercial construction details. Data covers permits from January 1, 2014 onward and is updated daily. The dataset is maintained by Marin County and can be linked to inspection records via a common Permit Tracking ID.
Permit Tracking ID is the key for joining with the separate Building Permit Inspection dataset. Some date fields (Received Date, Plan Approval Date) are null for simpler, on-demand permits.
