Buried Upper Devonian reef structures have been identified in the Lennard Shelf, Canning Basin. Analysis of seismic-record sections across one confirmed structure revealed a frequency increase interpreted as thinning sedimentary layers from differential compaction. Further analysis of sixteen selected seismic sections suggests the presence of four additional buried reef structures.
