Andros Island served as a launch site for numerous rawinsondes (radiosondes) during the CAMEX-4 hurricane research campaign. These instruments collected vertical profiles, or soundings, of atmospheric conditions including temperature, pressure, relative humidity, wind, and altitude. The dataset was produced by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration with measurements taken in 2001.
