516 maps provide full coverage of Australia at a 1:250,000 scale, the largest scale for continent-wide topographic mapping. Each standard sheet covers approximately 150 by 110 kilometers, containing features like infrastructure, vegetation, hydrography, and 50-meter contours. The series is produced by Geoscience Australia and includes about 50 special maps for non-standard areas.
