Budbreak and Carbohydrate Data for Temperate Tree Saplings Under Light Stress

Budbreak dynamics and non-structural carbohydrate concentrations were recorded for saplings of five native Chilean temperate forest species and the exotic Acer pseudoplatanus. Frida I. Piper conducted an outdoor experiment exposing saplings to full light and severe shade conditions, with budbreak monitored weekly from August to November 2014 and carbohydrate analysis performed in April 2015.
