Eight model simulations from the global ocean biogeochemical model FESOM-REcoM reproduce findings from Seifert et al. (2022). The dataset contains 5-year means of global phytoplankton biomass, chlorophyll, net primary production, growth rates, limitations, calcification, grazing rates, calcite concentrations, zooplankton biomass, export fluxes, CO2(aq), HCO3-, and nutrient concentrations. It also includes a time series of global and North Atlantic coccolithophore biomass, temperature, and CO2(aq) concentrations from 1958 to 2018.
