A methodology paper presents a new technique for authenticating copaiba oils using High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC). The method uses the monoterpene linalool oxide as a standard to calculate relative retention factors for detecting specific diterpenic acids. Calibration curves showed strong correlation with │r│ ≥0.9962 and R² ≥0.9928.
