University of Wisconsin-Madison researchers sequenced 32 Salmonella enterica serotype Cerro isolates from healthy lactating dairy cattle on a single Wisconsin farm. The isolates were collected via direct fecal sampling over a one-year period between March 2022 and February 2023. Whole genome sequencing was performed using paired-end short-read Illumina sequencing to assess genomic stability.
