Description
Geothermal data from the World Data Center for Geophysics in Beijing includes maps of hot spring distribution across Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong provinces. It contains well temperatures, heat flow measurements, rock physical properties, and crustal temperature data primarily for Zhejiang and Fujian. The dataset was compiled by the SCIOPS organization.
Use Cases
Map hot spring distribution across Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong provinces for resource assessment.
Analyze well temperatures and heat flow data from Zhejiang and Fujian to model subsurface thermal gradients.
Correlate physical properties of rocks with crust and mantle temperatures in specific Chinese provinces.
Assess geothermal resource potential in Zhejiang and Fujian using integrated temperature and rock property data.
Study the thermal history of eastern China by integrating ages of igneous rocks with heat flow measurements.
Strengths
Covers multiple data types including maps, temperature measurements, and rock properties.
Focuses on a specific, defined geographic region in southeastern China.
