560.31 Mb chromosome-scale genome assembly for the flesh fly Sarcophaga peregrina, with a contig N50 of 3.84 Mb. Lipin Ren from Central South University led the work, which identified 14,476 protein-coding genes and 45.70% repeat elements. The assembly anchors six pseudochromosomes and provides insights into the species' ovoviviparous reproduction and necrophagous habits.
