Description
1890-2018 is the temporal coverage for this long-term, large-scale phenological database containing 506,186 observation dates from 471 localities across Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan. The database, compiled by Otso Ovaskainen of the University of Helsinki, is rich in plant and bird events but also includes insects, amphibians, reptiles, and fungi. Data were collected using standardized protocols by staff of national parks and nature reserves and members of a phenological observation network.
