Eleven Earth System Models project seasonal Antarctic krill growth potential from 1960-1989 and under future RCP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios for 2070-2099. Growth potential is modeled as a function of sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentrations, serving as a habitat quality proxy. The dataset was produced by the Australian Antarctic Data Centre using outputs from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project 5 archive.
Data is provided in netCDF format; specific tools for reading and processing geospatial netCDF files are required. The 'last updated' date is far in the future, indicating it may be a placeholder for projection data.
