Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) data lists recommended and final penalties for New York Police Department officers with substantiated misconduct complaints since the year 2000. The dataset is part of a public database of police misconduct records published by the City of New York, with records made public following the June 2020 repeal of New York Civil Rights law 50-a. It includes penalties from both the Department Advocate's Office (DAO) and the Administrative Prosecution Unit (APU), with final penalties issued by the NYPD Commissioner.
Data is one of four related tables; joins may be required for full context. Public records exclude complaints closed as Mediated, Mediation Attempted, Administrative Closure, Conciliated, or Other Possible Misconduct Noted.
