Global data on carbon dioxide emissions from cement manufacturing, calculated as thousand metric tons. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) produces the estimates by combining data on fossil fuel consumption and world cement manufacturing. The time series is recalculated annually, with data extending back to at least 1949.
